Cardiff’s Biggest Party: X Festival 2015

A couple of week ago me and the girls hit X Festival and oh lord did we have a good time... from what I can remember.

It was so good to see Cardiff have such a big music event in the city! I think my Snapchat nearly exploded with the amount of fun I was trying to film. Sorry Snapchat friends for having one hell of a long story!

We went to the Saturday festival, mainly to see the queen Annie Mac :)

Inside My Drawer: Social Media Essentials

Last week I started a social media campaign, which looks into everyone's drawer who works at LONO Creative. 

With the help of Nora's creative flair, (a designer I sit next to) we've taken pictures of stylised drawers which represent the professional and personal lives of Creative Directors, Graphic Designers, PHP Developers and Account Executives. Recently, I was invited to a sample sale by OnePiece. Their brand is the original creator of the onesie – the loungewear people don’t seem to be lounging in. I’ve seen onesie’s out in shops, clubs and theme parks… (yep, on a recent trip to Thorpe Park I saw a hefty amount of onesie wearers believe it or not.)

No, I’m not being sarcastic; I seriously love it. Yes it is my hometown but I’m sure I would love the place even if I wasn’t born and bred there.

I love the sense of community Wales has to offer, the gorgeous scenic views of the Valleys, (by the way the MTV show The Valley’s is not a good representation of that) and the sheer friendliness of welsh people, which I never truly appreciated until I packed my bags for the big smoke two years ago. I’m a bit embarrassed to admit I still get homesick sometimes (even though I’m 25!) so I thought I would cast my mind back to some good ol’ memories I have of Cardiff and present them in GIF-form. Last Friday I had an impromptu launch event to attend, for culture and lifestyle magazine, Made in Shoreditch.

I had actually intended to go to the party a few weeks ago, but stupidly I had forgotten to add it my Gmail calendar and ended up going last minute. (Thank god I wore my heels to work that day!)

Last night I went to an exclusive intimate gig for Original Penguin’s plugged in sessions. Showcasing grime rapper Devlin, and fifties revivalist Willy Moon, (his single Yeah Yeah is currently the soundtrack to the latest Apple iPod advert) the concert was filmed by Virgin Media and was hosted at The Hospital Club in Covent Garden.

Last week, the opening of Burberry’s first flagship store in Taiwan went down a storm as guests were immersed in a multi-sensory experience. The British fashion line created interactive, digital weather that included rainstorms and lightning to champion their star product, the Burberry Trench.
