I love, love, love Christmas! It’s a time
for being with the people who you love most in the world, being selfless by
offering gifts AND it’s socially acceptable to eat chocolates in the morning
and drink early on in the afternoon! What’s not to love? Yes, indeed for me it
is the most wonderful time of the year. In an attempt to fully soak up the festive
season I’ve decided to try and do something Christmassy each day. If you’re
also looking for ways on how to add a bit of merriment to your days in December
then check out my how-to guide below for tips on how to jingle all the way!
1) Make some sort of Christmas food - It could be mince pies, Christmas stollen, a chocolate yule log or some gingerbread biscuits. Indulging in some sort of yummy Christmas food always gets me feeling festive, but actually making it yourself and sharing it around is better for fulfilling the idea of ‘giving-ness’ which is deep-rooted in the essence of Christmas :o)
2) Create a Christmas playlist - Listening to
some classic Christmas crooners is the quickest way to feel jolly. Check out my
Christmas playlist I’ve created on my Spotify account for some inspiration –
beware though, Cliff Richard’s in there!
3) Send out Christmas cards - When did it
become ok to text 'Merry Christmas'? Instead of texting merry Christmas to ‘send all’, take the time to wish a proper crimbo to
those closest to you via a card with some sort of festive Christmas graphic design…
4) Watch a Christmas film – Love Actually, Elf
and Home Alone are the best festive films in my eyes, and in that order too!
Check out my favourite scenes from the films in these clips…

5) Have a Christmas tipple – Mulled wine, eggnog, The Snowball, Mistletoe Martini, The Candy Cane, I could go on! Attempt to make the Mistletoe Martini yourself with this quick and easy cocktail recipe:
Ingredients:
2 oz vodka
2 oz orange juice
3 oz cranberry tea, chilled
3/4 oz lemon juice
3 tsp sugar
2 oz orange juice
3 oz cranberry tea, chilled
3/4 oz lemon juice
3 tsp sugar
Instructions:
1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Shake well.
3. Strain into two chilled cocktail glasses.
Have you got any other suggestions to add?
Wishing all my readers an amazingly awesome
Christmas and mind-blowing new year!
