Fancy a free cocktail today? New app Drinki gives you free drinks!

A night out in London doesn’t come cheap, especially if you’re the kinda gal that’s a fan of the cocktails. Who doesn’t love those mornings when you wake up feeling a little bit smug from the night before knowing you’ve dodged a few quid here and there!?

Last week I was contacted by the lovely ladies at Drinki, a new mobile app for girls that let’s you have a completely free cocktail in various bars across London in return for a simple Facebook check-in. Yep, you read that right – COMPLETELY FREE! Available to download (also for free) from the App Store or Google Play, Drinki allows you to have 1 drink per bar, per day. The app will always show you the next available time you can get a free drink at each bar. Emma, (one of the creators of this genius mobile app) asked me to check it out and give a review. So on the weekend I rounded up a few pals to try it out...

We started at 333 Mother Bar in Shoreditch for a fiercely refreshing Mojito and then walked around the corner to Far Rockaway for a classic Vodka Cranberry. The general manager at Far Rockaway told us that their free drink will soon change to the ‘Hot Bitch’ cocktail, (Babicka, passion fruit, peppers, vanilla sugar and black pepper) which he also gave us to try - my gosh was it spicy, but good! The atmosphere at Far Rockaway soon picked up and we decided to stay for a couple of bottles of prosecco, dancing until the early hours!

We were actually quite surprised at how easy the app worked, and we were Instagraming and Tweeting our appreciation for Drinki in no time! The Drinki app is currently only available to girls – sorry boys! Although the creators of Drinki are currently working on a boy’s version at the moment, so hold tight chaps!
