Made In Shoreditch Second Magazine Launch

Last Friday I had an impromptu launch event to attend, for culture and lifestyle magazine, Made in Shoreditch.

I had actually intended to go to the party a few weeks ago, but stupidly I had forgotten to add it my Gmail calendar and ended up going last minute. (Thank god I wore my heels to work that day!)

Wheel of fortune!
Made in Shoreditch were celebrating the second launch of their magazine at Modern Jago, (a hub which encourages creative networking, conferences and exhibitions) at Club Row in Shoreditch.

Thomas Kulbokas and Giedrius Ivanauskas - Co-founders of Made in Shoreditch
Made in Shoreditch was co-founded by Giedrius Ivanauskas and Thomas Kulbokas; I’ve written some articles for their magazine and so they invited me to come on down to the launch.

My good friend Matt from Mansnaps and me.
I asked my friend Matt, (from Mansnaps) to come along too and we both had an awesome time! We kicked back champagne and even Witches Brew, (the name of one particular beer, which actually tasted quite nice!) whilst listening to some extremely talented singers, James Craise and Rufio Summers. Micha Barton was even there to say a few words on how much she loved east London and the Made in Shoreditch publication! Must be a great local magazine then!

...Well, it is East London after all!

After the networking event at Modern Jago everyone headed on down to Barrio East on Shoreditch High Street for the afterparty. I’d been dying to visit Barrio East for ages – it’s fairly new to Shoreditch but the bar has a few other chains throughout London. There was a great vibe in there and I was surprised at how much bigger the venue actually was once we got inside. There were quite a few rooms, so you have the option of just sitting and chatting with a few drinks or you could delve into another area, which had a dance floor if you fancied a bit of a boogie.

I thoroughly enjoyed my spontaneous Friday night. It was great catching up with Matt and networking with local people who are all passionate about highlighting what this part of London has to offer. A magazine that wants to feature the diverse creativity and uniqueness of East London has got 100% of my support  – keep up the great work Made in Shoreditch
