What Happens When You Go To Ibiza With An OAP

Back in late August I took a little trip to Ibiza. I first visited the island when I was 19; I went with my sister as a diehard R&B lover, and returned home a techno fan! Extreme I know, but it seems that transition happens to a lot of people when they visit Ibiza.

Anyway, I was determined I'd visit the place again, only this time I decided I would take my mum with me too. Since moving to London from Wales I don't get to see her as much and thought it would be a great way to spend some quality mother and daughter time (awww!) After a lot of persuading that Ibiza wasn't just another party town, she finally agreed to come along and off we went.

As I sit here on a sticky summer evening, I find myself a little clueless on what to blog about.

Recently, I was invited to a sample sale by OnePiece. Their brand is the original creator of the onesie – the loungewear people don’t seem to be lounging in. I’ve seen onesie’s out in shops, clubs and theme parks… (yep, on a recent trip to Thorpe Park I saw a hefty amount of onesie wearers believe it or not.)

Happy Easter all… for the bank holiday weekend I plan on visiting the most amazing, spectacular country in the whole world….

No, I’m not being sarcastic; I seriously love it. Yes it is my hometown but I’m sure I would love the place even if I wasn’t born and bred there.

I love the sense of community Wales has to offer, the gorgeous scenic views of the Valleys, (by the way the MTV show The Valley’s is not a good representation of that) and the sheer friendliness of welsh people, which I never truly appreciated until I packed my bags for the big smoke two years ago. I’m a bit embarrassed to admit I still get homesick sometimes (even though I’m 25!) so I thought I would cast my mind back to some good ol’ memories I have of Cardiff and present them in GIF-form. Last Friday I had an impromptu launch event to attend, for culture and lifestyle magazine, Made in Shoreditch.

I had actually intended to go to the party a few weeks ago, but stupidly I had forgotten to add it my Gmail calendar and ended up going last minute. (Thank god I wore my heels to work that day!)

Devlin Performs An Amazing Intimate Gig At The Hospital Club

Last night I went to an exclusive intimate gig for Original Penguin’s plugged in sessions. Showcasing grime rapper Devlin, and fifties revivalist Willy Moon, (his single Yeah Yeah is currently the soundtrack to the latest Apple iPod advert) the concert was filmed by Virgin Media and was hosted at The Hospital Club in Covent Garden.
